Obituary:

Robert D.  Beckwith, 65, of Kissimmee, Florida, and formerly of La Porte, Indiana passed away on Monday, July 6, 2015, at Osceola Regional Medical Center.

Robert was born in Chicago, Illinois, on Feb.  20, 1950, to Robert W. and Eileen (Platt) Beckwith.

On June 24, 1972, he married Constance (McGuire) Beckwith, who survives.  Also surviving are his beloved children Christopher (Anne) Beckwith of Wilmington, North Carolina, and TJ (Melissa) Beckwith of Westfield, Indiana; three grandchildren Wendy, Brody and Allison Beckwith; two sisters Lorraine (Joseph) Campea of Kissimmee and Lisa Orisich of Arnold, Maryland; and two brothers Matt Beckwith of Fayatteville, Georgia, and John Beckwith of Riverview, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Joseph Beckwith.

Robert, more commonly known by his middle name ‘Dave’ to his fellow Vietnam Veterans, served with the 212th MP (Long Binh) 1969-1970, and handled Wolf-096M.
Robert worked as Director of Marketing at Aggressive Hydraulics.  He was a Business Entrepreneur and Consultant.  He was member #3701 of the Vietnam Dog Handler Association and also a member of the Vietnam Military Police Dog Alumni.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.  A time of visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
