He was born in Englewood, NJ on May 12, 1943 to the late Stanley and Minnie (Bailey) Galvin.

Tom served in the US Army from Feb 1962 to Aug 1983 (Retired).  He served as a recruiter, drill sergeant and Military Police, but his passion was his tanks.  Tom was a Viet Nam Veteran who served two tours. After retiring from the Army, Tom also worked at the VA Hospital in Manchester, NH.

Tom was a quiet man who kept to himself and family during his later years.  He had an incredible love for music of all types, from the 50’s to head banging 80’s metal bands.  He loved the study of history and re-enacting wars with his micro-armor.

Tom is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret (Krupp) Galvin; daughter, Theresa Winger; and son SGT Richard Galvin.  He also has five grandchildren:  Richard Galvin, JR; Joshua Galvin; Katelyn and Lexy Galvin, and his great grandson, Jack Thomas Galvin.

A very short service will be held at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen, NH on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 3pm.
