Kenneth Gerard Diller Jr., resident of Carlsbad, CA for seven years unexpectedly passed away January 3rd, 2020 in his home at seventy-three years of age. He is survived by and was the loving father of three Sons, Aaron, Jason and Rhett, and four grandchildren.

“Ken” as he was referred to by family and friends was born October 5th, 1947 in Sarasota, FL to Kenneth Gerard Diller Sr., and Wilma M. Diller, where he was raised and a resident for thirty-five years.  He then moving onto Marietta, GA for thirty years and then onto California. He was a liquor salesman up until his retirement, and always had family, the “Florida Gators”, and Vietnam Veterans, specifically dog handlers, as an interest. He supported and helped many of his fellow Veterans receive the benefits they had earned while serving in the Armed Forces for their country.

He joined the United States Air Force September 10th, 1965 and was trained as an Air Policeman and then K-9 Handler.  He and his German Shepard “Jeff” Tag No: 679F, served in Vietnam at Cam Ranh Bay, AFB with the 12th Air Police Squadron K-9 Unit from April 1st, 1967 to November 1st, 1968, which was the end of his enlistment.

         He is buried in the Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, FL Section 2, Site 187. He will not only be missed by his family, but also those he touched with his kindness and compassion ~ God rest his soul.
