I was married while in Nam and turned 23 there. After returning home we moved to Virginia and had two kids, a girl and a boy. My wife, Carol, and I remained married until her death in '95. I remarried in 1999 and inherited two more adult kids. We now have 7 grandchildren, 3 boys and 4 girls. I retired in 2001 and now spend half my time in Miami and half in Richmond. Life is good.
I think often of the 50th and the wonderful guys I met there. My memory is getting more fuzzy with age (maybe that's good) but I would sure like to see all the guys again for one of our "cookouts". |
