Chuck Waddell succumbed to a heart attach on the last day of the year.  We served together in Long Binh then sent to Vinh Long with me and two others.  As part of the 212fh MP Co. during the Tet Offensive, he survived the mortar attack then a ground attack before being pulled off the flight line as the VC overran the airfield.  He leaves behind his wife Michele and 3 children, Zachary, Mike and Jenny.  He was from Owatonna, Minnesota.  Funeral arrangements are being made.

Charles Waddell:


Charles was born on Friday, November 29, 1946 and passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016.

Charles was a resident of Owatonna, Minnesota at the time of his passing. Chuck graduated from high school in Crestline OH.

He served in the US Army as a MP K-9 handler with the 212th MP Company in Vinh Long Vietnam from 1967-1968.

He was married to Michele.

Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm and at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday from 10am to 11am.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday January 5 2017 at 11am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Reverend John Sauer officiating.

Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Owatonna.
