Biography: In Memory of James D. Davies 1949 - 2008 Date of Birth: Wednesday, June 30th, 1948 Date of Death: Friday, January 18th, 2008 Obituary: James D. "Jimmy D." Davies, 59, of Marblehead, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008. He was born June 30, 1948, in Lorain, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He served with the 212th MP Co (Long Binh) 1969-1970. He is survived by his wife, Lisa (Willoughby) of Marblehead; children, Jess J. Davies and Chad D. Davies; mother, Belle Davies; brothers, Arthur S. (Lynda A.) Davies, and John G. (Randi) Davies. He was preceded in death by his father, Captain Arthur S. Davies. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bay United Methodist Church, 29931 Lake Road, Bay Village. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Historical Society, PO Box 435, Vermilion, OH 44089. Arrangements are by Jenkins Funeral Chapel, Westlake, Ohio.
