First Lieutenant Charles Loader - Has been a member of the Department of Michigan State Police for 30 years. Has served as a Trooper and as a member of the MSP Canine Unit while assigned to the Ionia Post. Was a Uniform Desk Sergeant at the Owosso Post, assigned to HQ in Prevention Services and later First District as the Traffic Services Staff Sergeant. Served as the Post Commander of the Ithaca Post and State Capitol Post. Completed Bachelors degree at Spring Arbor University and he is a graduate of Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command, and FBI National Academy. In 1992 he was the recipient of the Michigan State Police Bravery Award and the Michigan Association Chiefs of Police Medal of Honor. He served as the Commanding Officer of the Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division’s, Homeland Security Section, Michigan Intelligence Operations Section as the Operations Section Commander, and currently serves as the Commander of Michigan's Sex Offender Regstry and Enforcement Section.
