King was born in November of 1964 and was donated to the military by the William Martin family of West Hollywood, Fl.  Rick Schuette became his handler in January of 1967 and had him until December of 1967 when he rotated back.  Rick didn't get to meet King's new handler. King died in May of 1968 due to heat prostration.
