Many members of the Sentry Dogs Alumni remember him as a great leader and protector of his men and kept in touch with him over the years. Lee Ruth said, “He was like a father to all of us. His loss hit us hard right before Memorial Day.” Besides his men from the detachment, Borg leaves his wife Shirley. No arrangements made as of yet.
