Enlisted in 1970,kicked out of Airborn training knew I was headed to Nam. Was offered Scout Dog School, decided I needed all the help I could get so I joined. Best thing I ever did. After Nam went back to Ft. Benning to the 51st IPSD, 197th Inf. Bde., till it was deactivated about a year or so later. Also was a member of the Dog Training Committee in 74-75, can’t remember the exact months. Retired in 1991. Had a bunch of assignments, went to a lot of places but being a Dog Handler is what I’m proudest of.
