Tom Died from Liver failure due to cancer at 12:16 AM on October 24, 2012 at his home in Redding, California. He had been a drafter, a truck driver, a carpenter and an electrician and part-time farmer. He was a hunter with both bow and rifle. He lived near Lake Shasta so he fished and water-skied and when he was young he worked as a houseboat repairman. He is survived by his Sister Patti and his daughters April and Amber, their Mother Terri, and Amber’s son Brody, Tom’s 4 year old Grandson. Patti Dawson can be contacted at glorun@snocrest.net for information regarding Tom, and plans for his memorial service. Tom has been my friend since 1968. He will be missed by all who knew him. Thank You, Tim Sparks VDHA Member #820 SPECIAL REQUEST FROM TOM’S SISTER PATTI: Tom’s Celebration of Life party is going to be at the Vets hall in Shasta Lake City on Sunday, November 18th. I’m not sure the time yet but we need to go in a couple hours early to decorate and put up all his stuff. Then his service is at 2:00 pm on Monday. Full military rights of course, with gun salute and such. Tom’s house will be home base until the end of November. Please let all his friends, who of course won’t be here for the real service, to please light a candle on Monday, November 19th, at 2:00 pm in memory of him. That would make me very happy.
