I handled a Sentry Dog from 1969-1970. A light stroke retired me from the insurance business in 2001. I learned our local jailer was wanting a narcotics dog. I talked to him, was hired and in 2005 went through dog school again. I now handle Sam for the jail and am available to any other local agency that needs us. It is the most rewarding thing I have ever done. I told my wife I couldn’t believe they pay me to do this. I would have done it for free.
