David Daniel Franklin - October 2, 1948 - September 21, 2015

David Daniel Franklin was born October 2, 1948 in Enid to Theodore William Franklin and Anna Mary Coulson.  He passed away September 21 , 2015 in Midwest City at the age of 66.

David was proud of his country where he served as a Scout Dog Handler in the U.S.  Marine Corp in Vietnam and Artillery Surveyor in the U.S.  Army in Korea.  He was a lifetime member of the VFW and D.A.V.  He was a talented singer and entertainer, often volunteering to sing at nursing homes and the VA Hospital.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Franklin, Anna Mary Swanson, and Ted Swanson.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Vickey (James) Franklin of Luther, OK; children, Rita Ann (Petty) and her husband Robert Kistler of Tucson, AZ, Michelle Rene and her husband Chad Willcutt of Wichita, KS, April and her husband Jon Harriet of Wellston; (8) grandchildren; (12)
great-grandchildren; siblings, Shirley Delaware, Melvin Franklin, Teddie Gale Huggins; and many other family members and friends.

Donations can be made in honor of David to Wounded Warrior Project or D,A.V.  A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m.  Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
