Camp Pendelton War Dog Memorial

The Memorial is at the Base Kennels. On February 18, 2009, it was temporarily moved to accommodate renovations and the addition of more kennels. The memorial consists of 3 elements, the granite marker (in the picture), 3 dog statues, and 2 markers for dogs. The Granite marker tells the story. The current Kennelmaster Sgt. South, says there is no recorded history of the marker but the 2 dog markers represent WW2 Camp Pendelton dogs KIA.
