Sculptor: Dedicated: 05/31/2008 The soldiers from Ft. Drum were present with their MWD's Tequila and Britt and they did bite work demonstrations and search. The audience loved them. On that Sunday Memorial day weekend, they were present at the monument ceremony with their dogs. It was such a great monument. This photo is of Sgt Brian Malbrough with MWD Britt and SSGt Mike Mowery and MWD Tequila at the monument. The poem on the plaque is an original and was written by a MWD handler especially for the veterans. He is currently in Afghanistan with dog Dena. However, he is on his way home next month. His name is Chris Dion and MWD Dena. It has been an honor for me to pay tribute to these wonderful heroic dogs.
